Eat, Sleep and SHOP in Punta Cana!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Okay, so you’re rested up, you’ve swam with the dolphins and you ate at some great restaurants. NOW it’s time for some serious shopping, and Punta Cana really delivers!

The Paradisus Palma Real hotel in Punta Cana has a shopping mall with an excellent range of stores and restaurants. And, it’s just a five- to 10-minute walk along the drive way from the hotel. Or, you can easily hop on the shuttle service that will take you back and forth from the lobby entrance to the mall.

Perhaps you want to shop for local products and arts. Be sure to check out the Bibijagua flea market, only a 10-minute walk along the beach from the hotel or a five-minute cab ride away. You’ll find an informal gathering of stalls on the beach which sell local jewelry made from our indigenous semi precious stones Larimar and Amber. The flea market is safe and you can have fun haggling and bartering prices with locals — U.S. dollars and credit cards are accepted. In fact, U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere, so you don’t have to worry about changing your cash into Dominican pesos.
