Fighting Malnutrition: Meet Ingrid, 5 Years Old

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Mannatech is proud to partner with the M5M℠ Foundation to fight childhood malnutrition around the world. In fact, for every $100 order of Mannatech products, a one-month supply of nutritious PhytoBlend™ powder is provided for a child in need.

Meet Ingrid

Every day Mannatech and the M5M Foundation help children like Ingrid. Ingrid is five years old and lives in a small, remote village in Guatemala. Her family lacks the resources to provide nutritious food, clean water and the care that Ingrid so desperately needs. Because of this, Ingrid suffers from malnutrition. More than 50 percent of the children her age and younger in Guatemala deal with the same severe effects of malnutrition.

As a result of malnutrition, Ingrid is developmentally delayed. She cannot walk and move like other healthy children her age. She tires easily and doesn’t have the energy to play. She has lost hair and has skin lesions directly tied to vitamin deficiencies.

But there is hope.

Because of the dedicated partners like InspiraGuate teaming up with Mannatech and the M5M Foundation, Ingrid has experienced renewed life. After just six months of enjoying clean water, food and daily PhytoBlend supplements, Ingrid has grown and is now able to move, play and enjoy a better quality of life. She is a beautiful, bright, happy young girl able to truly live life to the fullest. She is one of the thousands of stories that we are able to share because of your generous giving.
