Join Mannatech’s Cleanse Challenge and Become an Internet Sensation by Throwing Out Unhealthy Food, Household Products

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In advance of Mannatech’s Wellness Week (Sept. 12-16), we are kicking off the “Mannatech Cleanse Challenge,” a viral social media video effort meant to help celebrate and share Mannatech’s commitment to health and wellness to the world.

The Mannatech Cleanse Challenge calls on all Mannatech Associates, employees and friends of Mannatech to “cleanse” their homes of unhealthy food, chemical products or skin care products – with all of this captured on video to share on social media.

Take a look at the “example” video Joel Bikman, Mannatech’s Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing created for an idea of how to participate:

Watch Joel’s Cleanse Challenge Video

Mannatech’s Cleanse Challenge asks you to make a video where you throw out your unhealthy products, propose a donation to the M5M℠ Foundation, or charity of your choice, and replace the unhealthy products with healthier ones, such as Mannatech’s supplements, essential oils or skincare products, in order to live a more wellness-focused life for the rest of 2016.

This is a fun way to show the world, those in your Mannatech network, as well as your family and friends your commitment to wellness and how Mannatech plays a part in your life.

Your video should be posted on to Facebook or your preferred social media site with the hashtag: #MannatechCleanseChallenge. Also, if you are challenging someone, please tag them in the social media post and tag Mannatech Inc.’s Facebook page so we can share your video with the rest of the Mannatech world.

HOW TO MAKE THE VIDEO

Joel’s video is a very good example to follow. We have also provided a suggested script below for you to use as a guide. But the best way to make the video is to make this your own and have fun with it! Your spirit will show through and inspire others to get involved.

We hope everyone in Mannatech will participate and show the world that Mannatech means wellness!

Mannatech’s Cleanse Challenge Video Guidelines

About the Cleanse Challenge

  • Clean your pantry and refrigerator of unhealthy food and commit yourself and your family to living a healthier, wellness-driven life through better nutrition and Mannatech products.
  • You can also get rid of cleaning products containing harsh chemicals or skincare products based on artificial ingredients that can be replaced by Mannatech Essential Oils or skin care products
  • Be sure to mention Mannatech’s Cleanse Challenge at the start of your video.
  • Try to mention Mannatech.com or M5MFoundation.org.
  • When posting the video to social media, please use the hashtag #MannatechCleanseChallenge.
  • When posting to social media, please “tag” Mannatech Inc.’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account in your post. That will allow us to share it with the entire Mannatech family.

Video Taking Tips

  • Record your video in a well-lit area.
  • Shoot it as a horizontal video, not vertical, for a better visual presentation.
  • Speak slowly and clearly.
  • The more dramatic the action taken, the better. Use a large trashcan to throw out food or get creative with your “challenge.” Use a hammer to crush your bag of chips or pour your soda down the drain of the sink. These dramatic actions make for a better video.
  • Involve your family members, friends or others from your Mannatech network if possible to celebrate this fun activity together.
  • Make sure when you post this to social media (especially Facebook) that you tag the people you nominate.
  • Also tag Mannatech Inc.’s Facebook page as well so we can share your video with the rest of the Mannatech world.

Suggested Script

“Hello, my name is _______, and I have accepted Mannatech’s Cleanse Challenge.

Today, I have gathered what I consider unhealthy food in my home and I’m going to throw it out in order to live a healthier lifestyle. I see that this food is equal to about $___, so in return for throwing this food away, I am going to donate $__ to [Mannatech’s M5M Foundation, which helps provide nourishment to children around the world] (OR) [my local food bank] (OR) [your charity of choice].

So here we go, I’m getting rid of the junk food, and I’m going to replace it with healthy food choices.

(Say what food you are getting rid of, but do not use brand names.)

(Throw junk food in the trash, hammer the bag of chips, pour the soda down the drain, crush the bag of cookies, etc.)

Now that I’ve cleared my home of unhealthy food, I’m going to try to improve my wellness for the rest of the year by incorporating healthier foods, Mannatech products and other positive habits.

I’m so happy to be participating in Mannatech’s Cleanse Challenge, and I now nominate _____ to the challenge. You’re next!”
